In our trailer we have used the 3 act structure.. We have added quick cuts and text to show the storyline of the trailer. The tone for the trailer isn't very strong as I have not added a suitable setting such as a dark place for the use of lowkey lighting. This means that my trailer doesn't seem very scary. We have also included most of the characters which isn't good as a teaser trailer shouldn't reveal the whole plot or or character list. To improve, we will include more stock scenes as well as change the setting to use lowkey lighting. We will limit the main characters appearance and show the antagonist more. We will use more sounds such as horns, drones and ascending notes to create a tense mood. I should also watch more horror films which can allow me to study the stock scenes and take note of these so I can incorporate them into my trailer. For our trailer to be successful, we think we should rethink our story line of the trailer and include a supernatural element to make it more frightening. This is because supernatural films are most scary and I think it would be easier to create and intensify.
